When our client in Frisco decided to invite their mother to live with them, they knew their dark, outdated master bathroom wouldn’t cut it. The cramped shower, unused garden tub, and lack of accessibility just weren’t going to work for a space that needed to serve multiple generations. They dreamed of a bathroom that was not only functional and accessible but also stylish and modern.
The solution? A complete transformation that brought both beauty and practicality to life. We started by removing that oversized garden tub and expanding the shower into a luxurious, frameless glass retreat—wide enough for a walker or wheelchair, with plenty of room for a future antique shower seat. Thoughtful touches like shampoo niches and grab bars were strategically placed to ensure the space was fully equipped for aging in place, all without sacrificing an ounce of style.
The herringbone-patterned floor adds a splash of elegance, while the repainted cabinets and brand-new hutch bring a fresh, cohesive look to the entire room. What was once a dim and outdated space is now a bright, airy, and inviting sanctuary that combines universal design with modern flair.
